Learn the line dance everybody is always doing during the band break!
With origins in the traveling chorus line acts of the 1920s, the Shim Sham quickly became a favorite with performers at clubs in Harlem, and social dancers at the Savoy Ballroom. Created by Leonard Reed and Willie Bryant, It has moved through the decades to live on within the tap dance and lindy hop communities.
No experience required to join. This routine is a great introduction to solo jazz steps. We’ll have you shim sham shimmying in no time!
