Solo jazz" or "vernacular jazz," are umbrella terms referring to the wide range of non-partnered movements and steps danced and performed to swing music from the 1920s-1940s.

This class is designed for beginners with no previous solo jazz experience as well as intermediate dancers who may have some familiarity with the steps, but find it challenging to use them confidently in real time.

We will build a foundation of classic steps, then focus on confidently using that vocabulary on the dance floor.
